1. Safety Protocol

Your safety and well-being are our top priority. We have protocols and systems in place designed to prevent incidents and to act swiftly in case of any emergency.

Arakur is committed to being a 100% smoke-free property. Smoking, lighting candles, or using any other flammable items is not permitted in the rooms, within the building, or anywhere on Cerro Alarkén.

We believe that all accidents can be prevented and are committed to ensuring they are avoided.

All clients, guests, and staff must be familiar with this protocol during their stay at Arakur Ushuaia Resort & Spa. 

2. Safety and Equipment – What Arakur provides

• Preventive measures to reduce risks, such as surveillance and routine maintenance of facilities.

• Smoke detectors and fire alarm systems.

• Automatic sprinklers, fire extinguishers, and fire hoses on every floor.

• Emergency lighting in hallways and stairwells.

• Clearly marked emergency exits.

• Elevators with an automatic stop protocol in case of emergency.

• On-site evacuation and fire response brigade.

• Direct contact with external emergency services.

• Staff trained in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), available at the Front Desk.

3. Evacuation Process

1.  Stay calm. 

2.  Look for and follow the emergency exit signs on your floor.

3.  Do not use the elevators. Use the nearest stairway.

4.  If there is smoke, stay low and cover your nose and mouth with a cloth.

5.  Wait for instructions from our brigade staff, who will guide you to a safe location. Otherwise, please proceed to the nearest meeting point upon exiting the building (Parking in front of the Magallanes Hall or "La Cravia" terrace).

4. Emergency Contact Information

Dial "0" or press the “EMERGENCY” button on your room phone.

Medical Emergencies or Urgent Situations:

The hotel has direct contact with external emergency services (911, fire department, and 24-hour ambulance and medical assistance).
